Several thousand people attended the third annual Math Fair that is sponsored by the MIND Research Institute of Irvine. This year’s fair was held in Costa Mesa and children interacted with many activities, including ones involving laser markers and robotic balls. Educators brought children from the Anaheim school districts to the fair and are enthusiastic about the active learning offered free to their students.

The MIND Research Institute designs fun and educational math activities throughout the year, including math camps. The Institute also provides a math software program. The annual fair is thus a culmination of constant efforts to make math fun. This year parents and their children got to engage in activities such as playing a very old form of chess.
