The first tip is evaluating your needs, creating user-centric groups, and identifying delivery methods before development. Before you ever have a user sign up, you have to keep the user in mind and evaluating your needs as well as their needs. What do they need/want to learn? Who needs to be trained? How will users view and interact with the course? How will you handle all levels of learners? What delivery methods will work with your learning system and what are their constraints? The next one is motivating users to participate in the learning process, and creating content and components. Users who enter learning with a positive learning are more likely to stay motivated. Users will appreciate the interactive, engaging and relevant information will help them to stay motivated. Users also want information when they want it. Creating content in chunks will help them to stay engaged while better understanding what they learn while juggling a busy schedule. Creating components that are easy-to-use and universal will save you money as well as time and effort. Creating content in chunks, however, will keep the third tip in making learning interactive and monitoring performance. By creating elements that are interactive, learners are forced to use their knowledge to address challenges and issues. To make sure their learning, however, there has to be performance monitoring. When you create quizzes and learning simulations, they immediately get feedback on their learning. It also helps you to see how effective your teaching technique is (ex. too hard, too easy).
