Donna Stevenson’s journey into the field of dyslexia began as a nursery nurse and primary school teacher before taking a career break to raise her daughter. A chance encounter with a colleague led her to a temporary position at the British Dyslexia Association (BDA), which sparked her long-term commitment to the field. Her initial role was part of a six-month project aimed at making Liverpool City Council dyslexia-friendly, but her passion and dedication extended her stay to 17 years.
