AI Tools Reshaping Medical Education

Singapore’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine has unveiled two powerful AI learning tools designed to give students an edge in their clinical training. Anatbuddy, an AI-powered anatomy chatbot introduced in late 2024, helps first- and second-year medical students move beyond rote memorization. Instead of simply naming anatomical structures, students engage with clinical “what if” scenarios—exploring not just where something is located, but what it does and what happens when it’s damaged.

The second tool, an AI-powered Clinical Chatbot, provides a safe environment for students to practice patient communication. This real-time conversational simulation enhances students’ communication skills and medication knowledge before they apply these skills in actual clinical settings with real patients.
