What the Bill Requires

Senate Bill 1339 would establish a comprehensive accountability framework for every public school district and charter school in Idaho. Under the legislation, each district and charter must develop a strategic performance plan that addresses student performance, academic growth, college and career readiness, and outcomes for at-risk and economically disadvantaged students.

The local governing board and superintendent or charter administrator would be responsible for creating these plans, which must include clear and measurable goals, a developed vision and mission, and specific data on literacy, math, graduation rates, and postsecondary achievement.
