This article discusses starting a support group for parents of children with ADHD. A woman in South Carolina was informed that her child had ADHD. She inquired if there was a support group to assist her in dealing with this diagnosis. When informed that there was not, she decided to start one. She spoke with medical professionals and with other parents of ADHD children. They started a support group with regular meetings. Over 50 parents came to the first meeting. This group has been successful. The article gives encouragement and advice to other parents who may want to start support groups.
