The possibilities for Brain Science, on the one hand, is enormous. But on the other hand, quite limited. Brain scans don’t determine lesson plans. Brain science don’t take into account the huge amount of correlated subjective data from observations by teachers.

However, working hand in hand there is a promising outcome. The key is to take the principles of Brain Science and apply it to the classroom.

The greatest potential of Brain Science and education is to understand why things work. Understanding the biological mechanisms for how something is working. It will help to determine what should be or shouldn’t be applied to the classroom or other modes of learning. Brain science ca help us determine why tactics, already proven in the classroom, work to enhance learning. The wealth of knowledge developed by teachers and other learning professionals is enormous. Even though, in some cases, little is known why it works.

They are not actually doing brain research in the classroom. It is not so important that they take MRIs or figure out what is going on with this students brains. It is more important to translate the findings of these studies is to understand and design curriculums and what’s going on inside the classrooms.
