You sat through the conference and left with two impressions: that your child’s learning struggle was permanent, and that there was no particular urgency to address it. Both impressions sounded reasonable coming from someone with a credential. Both are contradicted by a body of neuroplasticity research that has been accumulating for more than two decades.
