On Saturday July 12, 2014, Governor Pat Quinn of Chicago signed a law that grants dyslexic students special educational services. Educators will receive trainings to meet the special needs of dyslexic students. Dyslexia can lead to many problems, such as poor reading skills, poor understanding skills, poor vocabulary, and poor spelling. Dyslexic students are at a disadvantage and can fall behind quickly. the new law will enable these student catch up to speed. The new law will mitigate all of these disadvantages.
