As Texas undergoes a “seismic shift in math content,” Woodland Elementary School is struggling to help students make the jump. The principal, Colleen Netterville, says much of the content has slid down one to two grade levels. This leads to students struggling with gaps in their education. Now teachers have to teach not just this year’s curricula, but also supplement the holes that have developed from the sudden switch.
