Japanese researchers have turned a Sony headset into a device that distorts vision and sound to recreate what people with Autism experience on a daily basis. The device, a forward facing WIFI webcam mounted on a Sony HMZ-T3W headset covers the eyes and relays a distorted feed to the headset screen. Paired with a microphone, a distorted but real time audio is sent through headphones.
