This article covers the psychological aspects of students who take an interest in math vs. the students who do not. It also covers different approaches on how to possibly get more students interested in math, being that so few, who naturally excel in math, choose to major in that subject. What can we do to influence these students to build upon their natural understandings of mathematics, so more of them will feel inclined to pursue a major in this subject? By understanding the mentality of the mathematically inclined, we may be able to influence future generations to pursue more mathematically-oriented career fields.
