If your child is having any type of difficulty in school, including dyscalculia, there are several steps you need to take as a parent. First, make sure your child’s school is doing their job. If a teacher approaches you about a potential problem, make sure they follow through with a specialized treatment plan to track and hopefully improve the disability. If the school is not doing enough, you have the option of bringing your child to a psychologist who can help diagnose and treat any learning disabilities. As with any other issue, early intervention is the key to success!
