A pediatrician in Connecticut believes that math classes in grades 5 to 8 are too hard. According to this doctor, children are so distressed by “developmentally inappropriate” problems that they are resorting to Zoloft, Paxil or Prozac to cope. Some outside counselors and psychologists agree with him. The school board is listening but has not taken any action as of yet.
