Neuroplasticity Research on Dyslexia

Dyslexia covers two areas which are generally categories as moldable clay and dominoes. Moldable clay symbolizes the changes in the brain as an individual grows from childhood. Dyslexia indicates the changes in the brain connections have not occurred normally, resulting in a deficiency in the ability of the individual to process what materials which reach the brain from everyday activities.

Neurons are cells in the brain that connect with each other to produce an action – similar to a set of dominos. For example, when you touch a hot object, certain neurons connect, sending a message to your body that the object is too hot and you should drop it!

Dominoes are related to the brain’s ability to process information and produce an action. This means the brain cannot understand repetition as a basis for learning. Regardless of the many times the brain processes the activities sent to it, it will always be a new experience, and the brain has no frame of reference on how to respond for learning purposes.
