The Department awarded grants across all six Charter Schools Programs, with the largest allocation going to Charter Management Organizations. These 22 new grantees will receive $263 million over five years to replicate and expand 147 high-quality charter schools nationwide—the highest amount in the program’s history. State Entity Grants received the second-largest allocation, with six states receiving a combined $293.7 million over five years to replicate and expand high-quality charter schools. This represents a strategic investment in state-level infrastructure to support charter school growth and quality assurance.
