Autism Spectrum Disorder, more commonly referred to as simply autism, is a genetic disorder affecting more and more people every year. It can be moth mentally and physically restrictive, and is considered the fastest growing mental disability in the world, with now more than 1 in every 110 children being estimated to be born with autism. The effects autism has on the lives of those with and around the disability is often severe. It is estimated that up to 63% of adults living with autism do not possess the means to support themselves, and up to 80% of autistic adults are not given opportunities to work full time, while 63% have explicitly expressed their desire to do so. Autism has no known cure yet, but researcher’s everywhere rely on public support and donation to continue work around the clock to hopefully one day end this terrible disorder and increase the value of life for everyone.
