Rapidly, textbooks are moving away from traditional, weighty tomes and towards weightless bundles of data. eBooks, as they’re commonly known, are one of the newest ways technology is drastically changing education. Not only are eBooks cheaper, with less markup; they’re also more environmentally conscious, as they leave little in the way of an ecological footprint. Additionally, websites and libraries are developing new ways for students to “rent” eBooks, further enabling potentially thousands of students access to information for less money and environmental burden than ever before.
