At the Rosetta Stone blog, they posted an infographic about language learning at US colleges. Currently, Spanish is the most taught language on American campuses. French is the second most popular foreign language, followed by German. However, the most spoken languages in the world are English, Mandarin Chinese and Hindi. Only 1% of Americans have studied Chinese, despite its growing global importance.
