Dr. Vincent Yamilkoski, the longest running faculty member at Brenau University, is the head of the Learning Center. The Learning Center is an operation within Brenau University. The Learning Center provides specialized help to college capable students who struggle with a learning difficulty that would otherwise inhibit them from reaching their true potential.

Something else that is unique is that The Learning Center does not employ “helpers,” but degreed professionals to assist with tutoring. For many of these students, this is truly a life changing opportunity.
Yamilkoski – a 37-year College of Education vet who is the university’s longest-serving faculty member – became the director of the Learning Center in 1987, about four years after the program was established by special education professor Karen Pfunder.
