Ashville Middle School has dropped sixth and seventh grade accelerated math classes due to racial and academic unbalance. There will be accelerated clusters within regular classes instead. Students will receive personalized instruction at whatever level they are, this goes on to benefit different-type thinkers socially and academically. This change will require training and support for teachers.
