Dr. Shirley Disseler is attempting to make math more understandable to children of all ages and all over the world, using a universal tool. That tool in question is Lego’s. Through the use of Lego’s, Dr. Disseler hopes that children with notice an improvement in their understanding of fractions, multiplication, and division.

Dr. Disseler associates America’s stagnant success in mathematics to a creativity crisis that reflects on how teachers are trained to teach.
