This article discusses the MATHCOUNTS competition in Livermore from 2015. In the article, the competition itself is discussed in addition to how children of the middle school age and younger can really learn a love and passion for math in general. This competition also instills a sense of pride in these youngsters about being part of a team and acquiring a greater understanding of how to solve math problems quicker and easier, in addition to understanding how math is used in everyday life.
