For the last fifteen years, sixty one year old Sharpe has been helping students at Witt to become more fluent with literacy and numeracy. He began by teaching an automotive engineering course. One day, a fellow college asked him to substitute in his literacy and numeracy class. The experience inspired Sharpe to quit his job as an auto mechanic and become a full time teacher at Witt.

Sharpe inspires students at Witt in math and English.
Sharpe hopes to open his students doors by helping them understand the Math and English that they missed in school. He understands that many of his students look at this maths and don’t see a reason to know them. He hopes to help them by utilizing different approaches to help students visualize the subject matter.
