Over 400 middle school students from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, recently took place in an educational STEM event. For those unfamiliar with the acronym, STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math. Held at Madison School Middle School, the free academic event was open to any interested pupils from grades six through eight.

The STEM event also explored job opportunities in the energy field. Various activity stations spread across the area gave students hands-on experience in various interactive tasks, like coding, seismic activity, acid trials, stream tables, and rock samples. ConocoPhillips partnered with Oklahoma State University to bring the important career event to students.
