The old way of teaching math is getting stale. Repetitive drilling for the purpose of memorization does not promote interest in today’s students. A Santa Fe Institute mathematician is bringing math to kids and kids to math via a local bakery. He is encouraging kids to explore math out in the real world and making them discover that math can be fun.
