Praises from parents and educators alike are being heard of a popular math curriculum named Big Ideas. After much deliberation, a committee of parents and teachers from the town of New Fairfield compared the likes of five separate programs before recommending Big Ideas to the school board in February. Two months after the program was approved, the district started training some of its educators in the new curriculum and initiated its use in the middle school.

Of its many merits, many focused in on the convenience of the online textbooks with video tutorials, as well as the flash cards, and work sheets.
