Magician Dennis Regling likes to say that people see math every day, but they just don’t always realize it. He proved his statement with magic by performing various tricks that required math, such as patterns, fractions, and measurements on Family Math Night at Penn Hills Elementary School.

Also known as the “Magic Scientist,” Regling has been combining math and science for over twenty years now. He often looks over a school’s curriculum to help him prepare relevant routines that mirror what students are learning in the classroom. Students, parents and teachers were mesmerized by the show which also tries to help explain common core to those who are unfamiliar with it.
