Is proficient more important than school grades?
The students in Utah are more proficient in math and science but their grades have dropped overall. The number of schools state wide that are receiving A or B averages in school grades dropped seven percent in elementary schools and dropped 13 percent by high schools. From the 2013-2014 school year to the 2015-2016 school year, the WCSD went from having six A elementary schools to five A elementary schools as well as going from having no D and F schools to two elementary schools being giving D status and two an F status.
