A University Commits to Universal AI Access

St. Bonaventure University just made a bold move that should have every parent paying attention. This fall, the university will provide ChatGPT Edu licenses to every undergraduate student and faculty member—plus staff whose roles would benefit from AI tools. That’s not a pilot program or a handful of lucky early adopters. This is campus-wide, universal access to cutting-edge AI technology.

The university piloted ChatGPT Edu with more than 300 members of the campus community this academic year. Now they’re going all-in. Each license includes unlimited use of OpenAI’s flagship GPT-5.2 Chat model, plus limited daily access to advanced features like ImageGen and Deep Research queries—at no additional credit cost. Enterprise-grade security, compliance safeguards, and role-based access controls come included.
