China’s Largest AI Education Initiative Takes Shape

Walnut Coding, a leading online coding platform for young learners founded in 2017, has launched the country’s most ambitious public welfare AI education program to date. Currently, the initiative has reached approximately 140,000 students across 1,029 schools in Shanghai alone, with more than 50,000 primary and secondary school teachers receiving professional development training nationwide.

The program provides participating schools with complete curriculum packages that include structured learning materials, hands-on tools, and AI-powered teaching products—all designed to integrate seamlessly into existing classroom schedules while meeting local teaching needs.
