A Framework Built on Collective Problem-Solving

A new PLC+ (Professional Learning Communities Plus) framework is transforming how schools approach teacher development. Rather than treating professional development as isolated workshops or compliance checkboxes, this model centers professional learning communities around solving actual instructional challenges teachers face daily.

The framework uses five guiding questions to focus collaborative time: What do we want students to learn? How will we know they’ve learned it? How will we respond when they haven’t? What happens when they have? And critically, how do we continuously improve our collective impact? These questions keep the focus where it belongs—on student outcomes and teacher growth.
