Foundation Secures Major Funding for Early Literacy

INK!, the St. Johns County Education Foundation, has secured $280,000 or more in new funding to expand early learning initiatives across the county. This substantial investment will specifically support two transformative programs: Five Learning Years literacy programming and Tools 4 Schools classroom supply assistance.

The Five Learning Years program focuses on critical early literacy development during the most vital window of brain growth—from birth through age five. Research consistently shows that children who receive quality early literacy experiences develop stronger neural pathways for reading, language comprehension, and cognitive processing that serve them throughout their entire educational journey.
