The U.S. Department of Labor has announced a $65 million investment in community colleges to develop short-term training programs eligible for Workforce Pell Grants. This initiative aims to support workers in acquiring new skills and enhancing their employability.
The funding will be distributed through the Strengthening Community College Training Grants, which is administered by the Employment and Training Administration. Community colleges can receive awards of up to $11 million to support their efforts in creating Workforce Pell–eligible programs.
