Mississippi’s Phased ESA Proposal

Mississippi is taking a significant step towards expanding school choice with its proposed Education Savings Account (ESA) program. The program, which is set to be phased in over several years, will provide families with the opportunity to access a wide range of educational options, including private schools and homeschooling. The ESA will be tiered, with awards ranging from $6,700 for students attending approved private schools to $1,000 for homeschool students.
