Dawn Neiman has known for years that more needs to be done for students with dyslexia, so she decided to create her own summer program. The intensive five week program features a teacher-student ratio of almost 1 to 1. Students have made phenomenal progress, jumping multiple grade levels. Neiman is still calling on the public schools, however, to address the needs of a dyslexic population of students that may be as high as 20%.
