The group Tennessee International Dyslexia Association organized an event called “Find 1 in 5” at a mall. This event was to bring awareness to a law that was passed in July. Back in July, the law was established to provide screening and early intervention for school students within the state. This event not only was to raise awareness but to raise funds for the project.

“Find 1 in 5” event highlights Tennessee dyslexia screening law.
The event allows families to walk together to find the 6 “fun fact stations”. It will allow families to come together for fun and to become aware of the issues surrounding dyslexia. These fact stations are to raise the awareness of what dyslexia is. The organizers say there will be giveaways at each of the stations, including a bad and a t-shirt. The group will also have members of IDA on hand to answer questions anyone might have about the condition.
