Reading is a core element for learning and development. One college has gone the extra mile in teaching, as well as providing a valuable community service that enhancing reading skills. McDaniel College is stepping up to support students with reading difficulties.
Towards the end of the Master’s degree program at McDaniel College, the graduate students put into action what they have learned and teach a summer reading program to support the academic achievement of disadvantaged students within the Carrol County Public Schools and they are seeing progress with the students in reading comprehension.
