NSF Event to Highlight AI That Reaches Classrooms

The U.S. National Science Foundation is hosting a distinguished lecture that tackles one of the biggest gaps in educational technology: the space between research breakthroughs and actual classroom use. The event, scheduled for March 10, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. online, will feature Dr. Min Sun, a professor at the University of Washington who directs a national research and development center focused on generative AI in classroom instruction.

Dr. Sun is also the co-founder of Collego AI Inc., giving her a unique perspective on both the research and practical application sides of educational AI. Her work connects four essential elements: conducting foundational research, developing specialized AI technologies, training educators to use them effectively, and engaging the public in appropriately understanding AI’s role in education.
