New Bedford Schools are considering investing $347,130 over the course of three years into EnVision, a new math program that teaches problems conceptually rather than procedural and includes hands-on learning and an online component. This is called for due to the current issue of an inconsistent math program that includes discontinued materials and severely outdated textbooks. There is also discussion of contributing 1.7 million of the superintendent budget toward special education for out of district students.
