Students either love math or they hate it. Very few people will mention mild feelings, when discussing the subject. A Washington community college has developed a program that shows a great deal of progress in teaching basic math skills to those, who struggled to pass basic high-school classes. The IBEST program is proving to be very effective, because students learn how to work with basic, even more complex math, by learning how to apply what they have learned and how the new skill can benefit them, in training for high-paying jobs, in fields, like mechanics.
