New lab helps students slay math #dyscalculia

The new Mastery Math lab could help you with your university core math class. The new lab is in room 266 of the Green Library and has 126 computers. Students can work on group projects at the three teamwork stations or get help from a faculty member or a new learning assistant.

Mastery Math lab are greeting students with open arms this fall for students in the university core curriculum math courses outside of calculus. Students that take other math courses spend 1-2 hours a week completing homework with the help of our staff. It is located across from the original Mastery Math Lab.

During the summer the staff worked hard to create new work for the students. Math courses usually have the highest failure rates but math is a skill a person would usually need on an everyday basis and it is significant to get you degree that’s why we feel this math lab is very important for the students.

The implementation of the Mastery Math Lab 2 will result in better math experiences for students, increased pass rates and retention rates for non-algebra courses, and ultimately increased graduation rates.
