This math class gives students individual help and also reintroduces adult students, who have been out in the workforce, to college life. Should they choose, students can use this opportunity to prepare for full time study at Richland and then onto completing a degree.

Richland’s program has grown from offering a math course to offering adult students an array of services helping them to get ready to reenter the job market. Richland Community College partners with a county education group and a business that specializes in preparing workers for the job market. Richland also offers a very affordable math course that anyone in the community can take.
Bridging the Gap math course, a five-week, internet-based and intensive refresher course for students whose assessment test shows deficiencies in math. It’s a cooperative venture between the Education Coalition of Macon County, Workforce Investment Solutions Inc. and Richland Community College.
