This article is about a program called Track and Explore, which allowed more than 1,400 students from Grass Lake Middle School, located in Brooklyn, Michigan, to learn about math, science, and engineering. This event was funded by various foundations and institutions such as Adrian College, the Consumer Energy Group, the Meemic Foundation, and the Michigan International Speedway (MIS). Track and Explore involved outdoor lessons such as nature hikes, water testing, and learning about rain and flooding.
