One in five children who attend public school experience learning disabilities like dyslexia or ADHD. October is a month where awareness is raised for these disabilities. During this month, parents and those who work in education are reminded how to understand these problems so that they can provide better assistance to these kids and give them a better future. In the last decade, dramatic improvements have been made and a large number of these kids have gone on to higher education, but there is still much to be learned before we fully can change their lives.
