Authorities are removing children from their homes based on the fact that their physical appearance does not match that of their parents. In Ireland, they did this to two families and after doing paternity tests, they saw they were the biological children of the parents they were living with. However, in Greece, authorities took a young girl from her home and ran test to only find out that she was not the biological child of the parents she was living with. The child’s “parents” had 13 other small children that resembled the parent’s appearance enough to not raise suspicion. Many people are seeing these cases as racially prejudice and wonder where the line is to be drawn between looking out for a child and staging a witch hunt.
