Dyslexia, the most common reading and language disability known, is believed to affect between 70 and 80 percent of all individuals with poor reading skills. The common disorder involves difficulty in reading and understanding words but has little effect on the individual’s intelligence level. Legislators are seeking help for these individuals by passing bills designed to ensure that help is available for those who suffer from this disability.
