Dyslexia does not necessarily need to be overcome, but it can be incorporated into everyday tasks for better functioning. Common misconceptions about dyslexia is that the children who have dyslexia aren’t smart, they don’t succeed financially and that it’s rare. All of these are myths that are simply not true. Parents can also take steps to help their children better succeed in school such as having a discussion with the child’s teacher.
