Born with a congenital heart defect, Keenan Jones faced life saving surgeries as a child that deprived his brain of oxygen. Speech and reading problems challenged him throughout his school years and his dyslexia has continued to make reading difficult for him, even today. Against the odds, however, Keenan found his passion and talent in creating films. He recently won the Reitnouer Award for his academic and film club activities. He is a role model for students with disabilities and urges them utilize accommodations and technology to better themselves.
