Luke’s diagnosis of bipolar disorder came as a shock but ultimately empowered him to better manage his life
Luke’s journey with bipolar disorder began in college, following a mental health episode that led to his diagnosis. Initially diagnosed with ADHD in high school, the addition of bipolar disorder was unexpected. However, Luke views his diagnosis as a blessing, stating, “It was honestly probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me because now I understand what’s going on and I can now cope with it and treat it and make my life better.” This perspective underscores the importance of understanding one’s condition as a step toward empowerment and improved life quality.
